66th Annual Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference
This nationally acclaimed annual conference remains the premier forum for the study and discussion of workers’ compensation and is also the largest gathering of workers’ compensation professionals in the country with approximately 8,000 attendees. The 2011 conference, chaired by Senior Partner, Steve Rissman, was held at the Orlando World Marriott Center, Orlando, FL and discussed all aspects of workers’ compensation with breakouts for adjusters, employers, nurse case managers, physicians, safety personnel, risk managers, attorneys, mediators, professional employer organizations and legal assistants, as well as those interested in Medicare set-asides and evidence based medicine.
Several of the partners in the firm were panelists including Nicole Ruocco, moderator of one of the highest attended and most educational portions of the program – the case law update, and Ray Lopez, moderator of the humorous and thought provoking panel “60 Tips in 60 Minutes”. John McLain and Bob Donahue are also presented at the “Breakout on Evidence Based Medicine”, a cutting edge program focusing on using health science rather than subjective complaints of pain when resolving workers’ compensation claims.
