Richard Mangan appointed to The Florida Bar’s Civil Trial Law Certification Committee.
Richard Mangan, Rissman’s Managing Partner, has been appointed to the Florida Bar’s Civil Trial Law Certification Committee effective July 1, 2026. Richard became board certified in Civil Trial in 2002, has been recertified 4 times, and has tried more than 100 civil jury trials.
Less than 1% of members of the Florida Bar are Board Certified in Civil Trial and certification represents the highest level of evaluation offered by the Bar. Board Certification requires at least five years of practice, substantial involvement in civil trial law, at least 15 trials including jury trials as lead counsel, 50 hours of CLE, peer review and an extensive written examination.
The Certification Committee is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the board certification, including review and approval of applications from lawyers seeking certification and recertification. Rissman is proud to recognize Richard for this appointment which recognizes his character, accomplishments, knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to trial practice.
