Biography

Benjamin Young is as an Associate at the Tampa office of Rissman, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue, McLain & Mangan, P.A. Ben is a fifth generation Floridan, born and raised in Lakeland. In 2020, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from the University of Florida. He then received his Juris Doctor from, Stetson University College of Law, where he served on the executive board of the Insurance Law Association. During law school, he gained invaluable experience in the civil litigation process as a law clerk for Florida’s Attorney General. Ben also worked as a law clerk with the in-house counsel for a national insurance carrier.

Most recently, Ben had the privilege to serve as a Florida Gubernatorial Fellow in Tallahassee with the Agency for Health Care Administration. As a testament to his advocacy on behalf of Florida’s health care consumers, he was presented with the Governor Bush Award for Outstanding Achievement. Ben is passionate about representing Florida’s employers and insurance carries. His practice concentrates on Workers’ Compensation and Insurance Defense.
