Biography
Ivan R. Ayala Garcia is an associate in Rissman’s Tampa office, where he represents insurance carriers, businesses, and insureds in a wide range of civil litigation matters in both Florida state and federal courts. His practice focuses on automobile negligence, and premises liability matters from pre-suit investigation through trial. Ivan works closely with clients to develop practical, efficient, and cost-effective litigation strategies while maintaining a proactive approach to case management and communication.
Ivan began his legal career with Rissman before joining a national labor and employment defense firm, where he represented employers in state and federal employment litigation and counseled management on a broad range of workplace issues. He returned to Rissman with a broader litigation background, bringing experience that complements his current automobile negligence and premises liability practice.
Ivan earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida. Originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, Ivan is fluent in Spanish and regularly assists Spanish-speaking clients throughout the litigation process. He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and all United States District Courts in Florida.
