Biography

Kent Pederson was born and raised in Osgoode, Ontario, Canada, before coming to the U.S. for law school in 2020. He was on the Dean’s Honor Roll for the Fall of 2022 for being in the top 15% of the law school class. He’s an Associate Attorney at the Jacksonville office of Rissman, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue, McLain & Mangan, P.A. Before practicing law in Florida, Kent was part of numerous extra-curriculars in law school. He was a Senior Staff member of Liberty’s Law Review Journal, an Executive member of the Moot Court Board, part of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, and was the Vice President of the Student Bar Association.

Kent competed in three Moot Court tournaments achieving awards with his teammates in each, including First Place and Best Brief for his team in an appellate Trademark tournament in Spring 2023. He also competed on the Negotiations team, achieving a 2nd Place finish at a transactional business negotiations tournament with his partner in 2022.

In addition to extra-curriculars, Kent achieved the CALI Book award for Mergers and Acquisitions Law, received a degree concentration in Property Law, and has had two scholarly articles published in peer-reviewed law journals.

How I Resolve

Rissman resolves means not only bringing together experts in the legal field to master the intricacies of each case, but it also means farming a wide talent pool of dedicated professionals who understand and express honesty, candor, and advocacy in every client interaction.
